Hi, I'm Amy. This is My Story.
A few years into the pandemic, I found myself like many others: ignoring my physical health and watching my routines slip away as the days blurred together. I felt unaligned and fragile. “Who I wanted to be” and “who I really was” were worlds apart, and when I finally got uncomfortable enough, I decided that something had to change.
After turning to yoga, I was inspired to learn more about myself through mindfulness, cognitive behavioral tools, and nervous system regulation. I shed 70 pounds, but the real transformation was finding an internal sense of safety and peace I’d never felt before.
Then, when I was 36, I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. I leaned into mental resilience, which became my anchor through chemo, a bilateral mastectomy, radiation, and reconstruction.
Calm Through Cancer was born from this experience, from the knowledge that mental strength can be built, and from the belief that you have a say in how you move through this season. If you’re walking this road too, I’d love to walk it with you. Let's start now.
